Position Overview:
Crystal CARSTAR is searching for a qualified Paint Technician for its Lenexa, Kansas, location. This position is responsible for assessing a repaired vehicle and determining the refinish efforts required to restore vehicle’s paint in accordance with factory specifications. Responsible for:
* All phases of auto body painting preparation: preparing damaged area for painting, verify parts are correct for the assigned repair, protect the vehicle from primer and overspray, and removal of any overspray as necessary.
* Color matching, mixing paint, and refinish and blend, in accordance with vehicle’s specifications and insurance guidelines.
* Completion of all refinishing per the estimate or work order in a timely manner and using proper repair methods.
* Responsible for providing and maintaining own set of hand tools, including air sanders, air wrenches, miscellaneous air tools and spray guns.
* Foster a positive team spirit with all employees

Requirements:
5 years+ minimum experience in automotive painting. High-school diploma (or equivalent) required. I-CAR and experience with BASF paints strongly preferred. Must be able to work independently without close supervision, and be flexible/adaptable to constant change. A valid driver's license is required.
