Position Description: Immediate opening for (1) experienced Class A Fleet Mechanic/Technician! Preventative Maintenance / Automotive Professionals with proven understanding and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot most repairs, responsibility for medium and heavy duty truck fleet. Maintain and repair diesel and gas fleet trucks within a directed Zone, Area or Region. Maintain Safety, Service and Reliability for Sales Operations Fleet. Perform PM inspections according to PMPBT Methodology, certify and maintain annual certification. Be a highly engaged and contributing member of the Region Fleet Service Team.
Class A-Requirements: • Minimum 3 years full time work experience directly related to Automotive / Truck Repair and demonstrated capability to perform vehicle diagnosis, maintenance and repair. • Experience and capability to diagnose engine issues using electronic tools, scanners. • Qualified individual will possess experience with medium duty P30 and heavy duty trucks. • Candidate should have proven quality record and employment history, sound decision making skills. Experience in Cummins, GM 6.5, International VT365 and 444T preferred and gasoline engines (Ford, Chevy). • DOT Certification and/or CDL license required within 6 months of employment. • Accurately manage, reconcile, order, and receive parts Inventory. • Ability to perform work on computers, and Microsoft Office programs. • Capable of following oral and written instructions and work without direct supervision. • Proven ability to build partnerships and work on cross functional teams. • Assist in the accomplishment of company goals to foster an environment of Continuous Improvement. Computer skills required. Work as a member of a team. • Ability to work flexible hours • Company vehicle provided as required. • Candidate must certify in PMPBT Methods within 6 months of hire date. • Minimum Job Requirements: - Able to lift 75-100 lbs. Safely. Comfortable working on/under trucks for and entire shift (8-10 hrs.) - Must be able to read and write.
